Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) includes autism; ADHD/ADD and Asperger’s syndrome. ASD is thought to be caused from toxic chemicals, viruses, inflammation and immune cells that attack the brain. Nutrition is the best place to start in order to reduce these damages. Many children on the spectrum have food sensitivities to gluten (wheat protein) and casein (dairy protein) plus many others like soy, corn, eggs and peanuts. Removing foods that are overloading the system allow the body to function more properly. We carry food sensitivity (IgG) tests at UCP. Also the addition to specific vitamins and minerals can allow the body to start to repair itself.
