When to Use

Your intraurethral gel should not be used more than once every 24 hours for sexual activity or for rehabilitation purposes. Always follow the directions from your prescriber.

Dosing

Your dose is based on your physician’s order and is usually expressed in a range. Instructions are printed on the prescription label.

It is recommended to start with a low dose and titrate upwards on subsequent uses to get the effect you desire. This approach will minimize the likelihood of side effects while searching for an effective dose. Many men practice alone with the gel to find the right dose and assess tolerability before involving their partner.

Storing Your Medication

Always store your intraurethral gel in the refrigerator.

Do not use medication after it has expired.

Caution

A burning or aching sensation is a possible side effect and should resolve on its own.

Lightheadedness or dizziness are also potential side effects that may occur for a short period of time.

Do not use intraurethral gel for sexual intercourse with a woman who is pregnant or may become pregnant unless using a condom barrier to prevent exposure to the medication.

Do not exceed the prescribed dose of medication. Overuse may cause a prolonged erection known as priapism. Prolonged erections may cause penile damage and permanent, irreversible erectile dysfunction. If you experience an erection lasting longer than four hours, seek immediate attention at a medical facility.

Do not take Viagra, Levitra, Staxyn, or Cialis within 24 hours of using intraurethral gel unless instructed to do so by your physician.

If you experience persistent discomfort, swelling, or fever, please contact your doctor as soon as

possible.

Call our pharmacists if you need directions for better results.

Instructions for Use

Step 1.jpg

Step 1 - Load the syringe

  • Remove the cap at the top of the Uro-Click device.

  • Unwrap the 1ml syringe and place in the tip of the syringe into the tip of the Uro-Click device containing the gel

  • You may need to slightly move the plunger of the 1ml syringe first before attaching it.

  • Using one hand, hold the syringe and Uro-Click device together.

  • Using the other hand turn the bottom of the device (similar to a deodorant stick). Each click is 0.05ml. Do not use the marking on the syringe to measure the dose.

  • Be sure to use one new syringe with each application

Step 2.jpg

Step 2 - Insert medication into urethra

  • Pull your penis upward to stretch it out and prepare for insertion of the gel.

  • Insert the tip of the syringe up to 1inch into the urethra. The syringe tip should be inserted into the opening of the penis.

  • Insert the contents of the syringe into the urethra and hold the syringe in place while dispensing.

Step 3 - Remove syringe and squeeze tip of penis

  • Remove the syringe and squeeze or cover the tip of the penis to prevent the gel from escaping. Do not lay down.

Step 4 - Massage area

  • While keeping the urethral opening closed or covered, use your other hand to gently squeeze and release the penis shaft for 2-3 minutes. This will help spread the medication and encourage absorption into the erectile tissue. If you feel a burning sensation, continue massaging the penis for another 30-60 seconds.

  • Blood flow should increase to the penis within 5-10 minutes.

  • Discard the used syringe. Do not reuse the applicator syringe.

Note: If you do not experience results from this dose, wait 24 hours before you re-attempt. Do not reinsert more gel and do not use an intracavernous injection on the same day without consulting with your physician. Call our pharmacists if you need directions for better results.

Please note: Compounded prescriptions are made especially for you and cannot be returned.
